you showed promise, and I am happy that someone is actually trying to play the game how it was meant to be played.
I'd suggest trying to defend in addition to scoring, because once you understand all of the major roles of players, it is easier to predict the movements and reactions of the good ones, which will help you out when choosing your path. You only need to counter a few of the good players in themes to be able to score easily ^_^
(I'm mainly a defender btw, scoring isn't even my forte)

I thought I won us the game! it was 0-0 with 7 mins to go and I managed to score with 43lp left!! It was my big moment of glory where I could say I won us that! but then the other team went and scored twice and we lost 2-1 :(
