2. A lot of people who went from mems to nonmems lost countable lvls simply because they couldn't pay.
These newly released names are only available to members anyway.
No matter what total level criteria we use, someone will always fall the wrong side of it and be annoyed - the lower we made the criteria the less effective it is. It's about finding the best overall compromise, and I do think that 1000 is right...
For those asking separately, yes the total level requirement of 1000 counts for either RS Live or Old School
