Barbarian fish love to be dropped. They get that they aren't on rocktails level yet.
They pray everyday (the ones that don't get caught by me and the many other barbarian fishers on RS) that an update comes out to make them worth keeping in one's inventory and sitting in one's bank when the fisher has caught too many for him/herself to carry!
People used to GUT them to death with a sharp knife.. at least this way they get dropped and maybe cling to life just a little bit longer. :c

I got invited to dg with 3 lv4s and was surprised we were able to pull decent times on warp floors since all monsters were minimum combat level. I think we did a floor n 8 minutes, just 2 of us with 3 lv4s since map had so many empty sqs.
Don't you receive an xp penalty upon completing the floor though?
Otherwise everybody would bring along a cute little lvl 4 skiller
Previously those poor fishes was put out of their misseries swiftly, but now you're just dropping them there on the ground to suffer and gulp for water until they dry out and die a slow and painful death,
Aren't they like already dead once you hook em and put them in your inventory?

I heard they don't die and get sent straight back to the water (when they disappear) whereas gutting them to death ends it right there for them.

I probably am getting a penalty and not noticing it.

Only if you hit them with the hook or something >.>
Not if they bite
