Why would you even use IE to download a browser?

IE9+ is pretty good lol. Faster and lighter than Chrome actually. Its dark past contributed to its bad reputation, but Microsoft truly improved it. You should give it a try.

It lacks support for extensions though, and that's why I don't use it.

More standard compliant than IE8 and lower.

Chrome 24 is faster than IE10.
Chrome 31 is faster than IE11 in everything but cold boot UI responsiveness, which the difference in that aspect is downright negligible.

Coupled with IE being less HTML5 compliant and lacking addons and the choice becomes pretty simple.

Firefox wins.
