Many equipment items are everlasting. You can resell them at any point. To label buying, say, a Seismic Wand as "spending" 1.3B is fallacious because at any time, you can resell the ring (of course, the price could fall, but it could also rise) and get your money back. In fact, one could argue that you can use items like Armadyl armor and Godswords completely for free if you have the starting money to buy it.

I don't care about the prices of items once bought - I buy the item FOR THE ITEM, not really for how much it costs.

A level 90 wand will always be useful to me until a new tier wand takes it place, where selling it off for however much it costs makes sense. Otherwise, I keep the items in bank and use them when necessary.

Also, if you use the item right you can cover the loss (due to the crash) + make some extra, meaning you basically don't lose anything at all :P

People panic too much on this game

I never sold anything I brought. Despite losing -300m from them. Coz you can make back more than what you lost with the weapons.

E: And yes... I know you can make it back, etc. But there's a limit to that, and I think 400m+ potential loss goes well over it.
