I have to say though, a scroll bar on a newspaper is a pretty impressive technological feat I wonder how the guys at the Varrock Herald pulled that one off ;o
So is the Mahjarrat Memories thing really worth doing for someone over 95 divination? I was thinking if it takes 500 incandescent memories for each 25k xp lamp, that would work out to 50xp per incandescent memory, which is less then the amount I'd normally get depositing them into the rift?
So the whole thing would be all about the 150k bonus xp that comes at the end. But it is possible and I expect it to be so that in the 6-8 hours gathering the 7,500 memories for the Mahjarrat Memories miniquest that I'd actually lose over 150k xp just by doing the miniquest.
So what do you guys think is it something I should bother doing? Also I assume it is a comp req isn't it? So I guess I kind of have to do it anyway lol. Just seems weird that a miniquest designed around divination could actually hamper divination training.
Holy crap this post ended up being like 100x longer then I imagined.
tl;dr worth doing Mahjarrat Memories mini-quest? And is it comp req (almost has to be I'd imagine, all other mini-quests are)?
In the 5 hours spent you'll get 375k Divi exp for turning the memories in and a further 90k from actually harvesting the memories for a total of 465k exp, or 93k/hour, which isn't far off the rate of just doing the Divination. You also get the 150k bonus exp, which is essentially the benefit, since the other exp is a wash
