Well we don't know the story yet, but I've always found it odd also :P .

For all we know, Zaros knew Guthix would be expelling other gods in the future, so Zaros welcomed the chance to go work on other things and left the other noobs to fight over Gielinor until Guthix died. Bit of a stretch, but I suppose we'll find out later this month.. At least pieces!

In the bts, they said the next quest had "fiendishly hard combat"

I want to know if it's going to be tough, or cheap. I don't really feel like a repeat of birthright or w/e that annoying quest was called.
