I'm not that fussed which combat level system is used.. :P Doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me.

E: Agree on total levels though.. Took me 3 years to get my first 99, at which I had total level of something like 1750. :x

Back then though no one really cared or knew about training skills efficiently so maxing and getting 99s took much longer. These days though, the main goal is to max out and gain levels ASAP, so people will get levels quicker.

Obviously skills are faster but yea

Even in its state back then, you could probably have maxed in 1.5 years (or even less if more time was put in per day) if you really tried.

Took me ages to max because I used to just do PvM and not care about levels, only started caring about maxing when the capes for it came out.
