Yes it does, it's the reason why I don't watch the Doctor Who from 1960 till like 1990 or w/e lol, I only watch the version from 2005 and beyond!

It's the science AND visual effects that really hooks me to the shows! .

The 2012 movie is a perfect example, the science surrounding it is TERRIBLE but the visual effects are a masterpiece which is the only reason it's considered "decent". .
