You just place items on them and the game allows you to use hotkeys to deal with those items. I'd say it's useful for stackable items, but not sure EXACTLY how it works or if it's really that useful considering you can't bind a SPECIFIC item to them - you're just binding the inventory slot, not the item itself.

Hope I made myself clear. I think it's too messy the way I worded it :(

Nah, I followed that, thanks. I tried using them before, and sometimes the coloured box would move with the item, and sometimes it wouldn't. They might as well just make them 2 more ability/etc slots since that doesn't rely on 1 individual inv space for things like eating food.

Exactly, I think the Quick inventory system is redundant when they could've just included 2 more slots for consistency and usefulness.
