Why do people always throw a hissy fit over max post count threads? I don't see what harm they do to ANYONE. People say post count is pointless yet care how others get it (as if it means something special)? I can't even...

I don't mind them, it's just that sometimes they push threads discussing "legit" matters aside. I'd care more if Off-topic actually had those, but as it stands now... nothing of value is affected.

Post count usually is a good indication of how active a player is in the forums but it doesn't mean much. Omar was the first to 100k posts, however he wasn't very constructive to get there. I personally don't support post count threads because they are spam, but it's not up to me so I don't really care lol. Hi

I rarely see any "legit" matter threads being created, the section itself is mainly a forum game section for HLFers, with the drama and random threads on the side. All equally pointless as each other.

Just don't know why people actually care how people get their post count, it's not like you get anything for having a higher count.

Well a quick look at someone's profile will show something like that instantly

I don't care about post count itself much either, other than when we use it as a joke and stuff. Like how I said the other day: "things will get serious when I reach 20k post count :D "

But like I said earlier, Offtopic lacks "legit" threads, but perhaps we should look into the reasons as to why it does. Maybe the abundance of forum games discourage the average user to post constructive threads knowing their thread will get buried in a matter of minutes?

I stand strong by the idea of creating a "forum games" section for HLF.

Unless the person looking at the profile doesn't have access to the HLF, in which case they won't see any threads from the HLF on that person's profile

Personally I don't care about postcount either, but I do like to observe my own and watch it climb :P
