I dont even have a mobile and my nets beyond shit so no pokemon go for me.
I have xy and oras to still play eventually too. Just been claiming the anniversary legendaries and sticking them in boxes. Got 4 of everything but the stuff that needed ebgames codecards.
Furthest Ive played in the generation is 2 badges in Y. Just couldnt get into it.
Accidently surged up a dinosaurs ass, became stuck then activated double surge and burst out its chest alien-style!
Got his dragon mattocks then crashed the clan citadel into Anachronia wiping out the dinosaurs.

Forgot to do this, ty!!
The thing with X and Y, is that the distance between badge 1-2 is HUGE. Like, as in when I was going through the game (albeit catching as many Pokemon as I could), it took me literally 10-15 hours between badge 1 and 2. It's one of the game's few flaws in my opinion. You'll find badges 3-8 will take only a little longer than 1-2, lol. The plot comes thick and fast, and, though there are some pretty budget side storyline/miniquest things to do, in general, I really rate them as games. X is probably my favourite ever Pokemon game (probably closely followed by OR).
Combat Power. It's essentially a dumbed down average of a Pokemon's stats in Pokemon Go (attack, speed, defence, etc.), so, the higher it is, the better it'll perform in battle.
So my raticate is 212CP, but my friend who temporarily owned a gym had a 364CP Golbat.
E: some extra info; CP is randomly assigned to wild Pokemon when you encounter them (so I've seen a 14CP Rattata, and a 62CP one). When you catch Pokemon, you get 3 'candies', specific to the Pokemon you caught's lowest evolutionary stage, which acts for the entire line. For example, if you catch a wild Raticate, you'll still get Rattata candies, but these will still work on Raticate nonetheless.
You also, alongside the 3 candies, get 100 'stardust' when you catch any Pokemon. A combination of candies and stardust is required to 'power up' Pokemon (raise their CP), and candies alone are required to evolve Pokemon, should they be able to evolve.

Yeah once you get level 5 you get 10 revives and 10 potions for free but once you use them you have to get more from pokestops and they seem pretty rare from them.
Well I've only visited 6 since getting level 5 and only got pokeballs and eggs from them so I assume they're rare.
