Most of OSRS' "saltiness" towards RS3 is because of the fact the main game is still popular. They expected it to die. And because it hasn't, they become "The Attackers of RS3" instead. They dedicate their time to bashing the main game, they even tune into RS3 streams just to make silly remarks about it.

This "war" between both games will never end. .
