Just tried Pokemon Go on a dog walk, it was pretty cool!!!

Bulbasaur was my starter, only other standout thing was a Raticate, I think.

Got a Shellder, too, which I thought was a little odd to find on dry land.

Although you get a starter forced upon you, it is possible to catch the other starter pokemon in the wild - I have a Bulbasaur (starter) + caught a wild Squirtle.

Also, yes. You can stand around and Pokemon can appear. I advise using your two free Incense whilst at home. Unslain Bosses - Clan

Ahh!

When I walk to work tomorrow, I wonder what I'll catch. Do I have to be connected to the internet to play?

Just did this; evolved my Pidgey, and now need only one more Weedles (as it gives 3 weedle candy per one, I believe?) to evolve that, too!

Not sure if you have to be connected to the internet sorry :( Try turning off your WiFi and seeing what happens.

You can catch Pokemon and it gives 3 candy, and if you catch duplicates, you can trade them in to the Professor and you receive another candy. I believe you can transfer them even if you only have one, so pay attention. Unslain Bosses - Clan

Like, I imagine the internet being necessary for gym battles, but just for catching wild pokemon?
