I really wish Jagex would just attempt to adopt the holy trinity game style that just about every other game uses. I realize they like Runescape being unique by allowing everyone to do everything, but it just makes group content too difficult to actually make properly. Though I guess too much content is intended to be duo'd or solo'd these days that the holy trinity concept would really only apply to raids and vorago, but still.

I think thats sort of what Im getting at. EOC is -still- very poorly implemented. They try too hard to allow us as many freedoms as possible. In turn, it really just allows us to do content too easily in a lot of cases. So when they come out with something new, like inventor, it just kind of is a thing. It doesn't really add a whole lot. Did Vorago need to be easier? Thats just about the only thing invention accomplished.

They could actually solve a lot of balancing issues if they could find a way for roles to actually mean something within a group. So this way when they want to release side step, or marginal buff updates, theres actually many different places they could apply these types of content. A slight DPS increase for a tank or heal role would be a good sort of perk. A slight DPS increase in our current climate just ends up stacking on top of other DPS though, since in all reality theres no need for any other sort of role.

Edit: But yea I know this is simply just theorycrafting and theres approximately a 0% chance that Jagex would even get this right even if they were to try. Perhaps Im just looking for some confirmation bias in seeing if anyone else thinks that Jagex tries too hard in allowing us too many freedoms.
