What benefit do you reckon the sprinkler for farming allotments is going to give? (from upcoming invention tech trees update)

I initially thought protection, but white lilies do that, right? Maybe extra xp? Faster grow time?

Perhaps with white lilies, they act as protection via farmers. Ie, the crop can still get diseased but it cures the disease, hence missing a farming stage.

Maybe the sprinkler will not cause this to happen, but idk, not sure
