If you're cheap you can just use it for the stats, not activate it for the passive effect :d
Illuminated books give +7 magic/melee/range strength and +4 prayer bonus

Also... Why did Jagex place gold barrows inbetween the warpriest sets instead of after tuska :c

Still costs 1m/hr to use

And tbh I don't use scrimshaws at GWD any more (with the exception of Vamp @ solo Helwyr), would probably still use them at Araxxor because the difference was definitely noticable.
