Gonna stay off reddit and all that, so many people just shitting their beds

I can't seem to care. Im actually semi hoping worst case scenario comes to fruition. I think I'd find it amusing after all of the complaints about the current MTX, for the playerbase to get a true taste of what real MTX are. I'd also be amused to see who sticks around to actually spend that kind of money on MTX. Im shocked people have valued experience enough to spend serious money on gaining it, so I'll be interested to see what additions could be made to get people addicted to buying further than exp.

I've already ranted twice today.

Three times.

Gonna end up losing HLF at this rate

Today is the first time I ventured to reddit to read that Tl;dw summary... and.. Wow. Yes those types of threads absolutely should be made by, and stickied into future updates by Jagex. I don't like watching BTS videos and I try to keep myself away from finding things out about updates until they're released, I find adventuring into new content totally ignorant to be more fun, but going over the key points of updates with those type of bulleted points from a BTS video are really nice.

I don't care either, honestly surprised the rs community almost seems so backwards compared to other communities.
A lot of people that play nothing but rs

Honestly if you enjoy a game you'd want to see the company or what not doing well.
You're not forced into playing/paying for mtx

People always bragging about having grandfathered membership rates and hope jagex enjoy losing a loyal 10-15 year veteran like they absolutely depend on their $4/month payment to stay afloat
idek

Just look at king or mobile games in general for ridiculous amounts of in-app purchases yet people are fine with that.

____

I've been looking at the tl;dw for their streams lately, pretty handy
help.

It has to do with RS coming from an era of when MTX was deemed to be an unviable way of running a business I would guess. Many people in charge of games thought not enough players would be willing to pay for small things after paying for membership subscriptions. I'd guess Runescape starting off as a couple brothers pet project rather than a big corporation also feeds into the community mind set of "integrity".

Its easier to accept it for mobile games where the games have always been that way. Its a tougher pill to swallow when something changes over time and slowly degrades into the social norm, rather than staying unique I guess.
