Uhm, since you're not recieving any resources while using the spell it shouldn't do anything? Or would you recieve xp for a mahogany log, but no resource?

It's a question of function priority.

If perk applies before crystallize, you get 75 more xp per proc (9% chance)
If perk applies after crystallize, nothing happens

talked my girlfriend into trying rs. she made an account and did the tutorial island on osrs and gave up after. it was hilarious trying to walk her through it. "why do i have to go to church?..." when she was at the tutorial for prayer/friends lists.
