I cant tell if gwd2 is happening in the past or present, the wording really isnt good

So, is it past GWD fighting like current gwd, and recent seismic activity opened a path to new power and *current* sliske/zaros/seren/zam send the generals to the power

Or, seismic activity opened the entrance to where this has been happening the whole time, lost in time like the original gwd?

I cant go any further without knowing where we're at in the story ._.
