Rat Pits will be removed, it's nearly confirmed at this point. It's not surprising, because no one plays rat pits and they're a source of glitches. Will probably come together with a cat rework of some kind? Since the only way to get wily/lazy cat is to go to Rat Pits, and I don't think they'll remove that. We'll see.

I'm honestly all in for removing dead/useless content. They just seem pointless to keep in game if literally near to no one ever uses it.
Those rewards are much better added to something else and the actual location can get something else in it.
