Performance seems better to me with VSync off. Not sure if it actually is or just some placebo effect. .

Well, if your game is getting between 31-60 FPS, VSync will cap it to 30 FPS, hence "stuttering" and why people dislike VSync.

However if you are consistently above 60 FPS, it's better to turn it on. Unslain Bosses - Clan

cause i had bloom and lighting off i was averaging 400 in unpopulated and 300 in populated
