I wish I had more broads lol, I had around 150k or so to start I think and they went so fast. :P

Isn't it rank of the perk, ie. the number at the end of the perk rather than the level of the weapon?

Yah, Im not sure leveling up the weapons actually do anything, other than slow drain rate at certain levels, along with making it slightly more rewarding should you decide to dismantle the item.
