I would like to know the reasoning behind making gloves take so many kills. Whoever changed that must not be playing the game.
+In the past gloves were an actual weapon. It was comparable with the best weapons in the game and it was the best option in some situations (like waterfiends).
+The gloves had a stat draining effect making them even more powerful. At bosses like sunfreet or corp, the gloves were better than actual weapons to use.
+Gloves took 5 kills in the tower to earn. That was in times when foodless nomad was a bit of a challenge still, but also in times when you could two spec 95% of the bosses to death.
Nowadays..
+The stat draining effect is still present in some form (not sure if better or worse but it doesn't do aoe hits) and can still be useful. Arguably useful in situations like vorago where the stat draining effect is being countered. And that's about it.
-Gloves are not a weapon.
-Other, often better, alternatives exist, like void. This limits how useful the gloves are too.
-Dominion tower is considerably more difficult. Bosses are constantly buffed to be more in line with the game, however they are way too difficult. Using gear in the 75-80s could do foodless nomad back in the day, now even 85 is probably suicide.
-The tower is a lot slower. You can't 2 spec things, it takes several basics and often a threshold ability to get a kill on even the easiest bosses. To demand 5x the kills for a less useful item is just absurd.
