With Dragon Rider, on most relevant tasks the only prayer recovery you'll ever need is from Demon Horn Necklace, Renewals to keep drainage low, and MAYBE a super prayer or two if you're shit DPS. The DPS trade-off isn't *too* bad (we're talking 40-50k less damage per hour (out of 3m+ (2.3% if you're only pulling 3m damage per hour and that lessens further as you pull off 4-6m damage per hour)), which is like...20 basics per hour) while you cut down on Prayer costs, if you even use Prayer recovery outside of those in the first place.
Edit: Those figures assume you use Tectonic/Malevolent/Sirenic for Slayer.
