I use Ring of Death for stuff that I'm not too familiar with. My attraction with RoD is when you die, everything remains intact - your inventory and familiar remain untouched, so you don't have to waste time sorting everything out again. I like that about the ring.

I use asylum ring at Araxxor now, though. It's useful when its effect procs. .

I never really die enough for ring of death to be useful

I wasted a portent of life on one of those spiders today

I was looking at some stream and when I looked back..I saw an acid spider charging towards me. Obviously, I was too late and it poked me. Little did it know that I was carrying a portent of life! .
