You want it lower, as long as it will go, regardless of what is optimal. 100% will be 1080p, anything higher will be less than 1080p.

It only aggroes them if the the bleed spreads enough to force them to change phases.. Which should take a long time since it takes multiple spreads to deal enough damage to cause that.
