Hey! Hmm do I persist with elite clues from these triskelions after getting no more than 200k from like 10 yesterday? Decisions...

The 'issue' with elite clues is that you either get the common bad rewards or the extremely rare good rewards. There's not really something in between. For example, hard clues also give these tickets to skip puzzles etc. every now and then, which are several 100k gp each.

Elites take about twice as long to complete as hard clues and are more prone to result in bad rewards because they lack semi-good rewards, like those tickets that hard clues can give. In other words, you're probably better off focusing on hard clues and not doing elites. Furthermore, barrows dyes and shadow dyes are slightly less rare (but still extremely rare lol) as reward from a hard clue than from an elite clue (which I find odd).

Long story short, if you get an elite clue from a triskelion key and you normally don't do treasure trails and the only reason you would do the elite clue is because of the rewards, then you're better off not doing the elite and doing something else that gives you some money. Don't drop the elite clue, though. If you keep it in your bank, you can no longer get one from the next triskelion keys and then you might get an effigy instead.

I didn't know this, and always wondered why I didn't get the puzzle skipping tickets, haha!

But thank you, I may try one more - the thing that put me off with hard clues is the emote ones, where you need an assortment of ludicrous items that I don't have the bank space to facilitate, but I do have a hard clue, too, so I shall give it a go!
