They're tough in groups, but alone you should be fine. if you range you'll be taking least damage, mage will be more damage taken but you actually kill quicker. Not entirely sure about melee but I heard that it's really fast, but I presume you get hit loads.

E: salve e and slayer helm stack now, so use it, it's glorious.
