What linkify does is to search for the links ending in .jpg .png .gif in order to embed the links into the forums.

This bit: ?w=560&h=315 prevents linkify from detecting it as .gif because it isn't the last 4 characters of the link. So just remove it, the modified link will still take you to the same page.

Same goes for all pictures and including youtube videos.
