Oh, not sure. Chain killed a minion so I got a 9 xp drop on prayer tracker. :s
But Alan said someone in his mass only hit it once and got pet the other day, so I'd assume everyone has a chance of pet with the ones dealing most damage recieving claws, skins and chance of rare drop o:
