It's basically hit it a few times and run while stalling adrenaline. Gets really boring when you don't get the pet after 17 kills.
South-east chamber has an annoying mechanic that traps you in ground for 5 or 6 seconds, which you can freedom on normal mode, but whoever made hard mode decided that freedom don't work on it.
Also on hard mode the minions from the north-west chamber increases the moles strength and defence (as opposed to just defence in normal mode) so killing them with chain/d breath helps on last "phase" (where it can use the mechanics from all the 4 chambers).
