If your overall lifestyle is sedentary you are at risk of it. So if you are mainly sat down on your PC chair, going afk for a few mins probably won't solve it. Stuff like walking for about an hour a day (e.g. walking to college or work) is better. I guess I'm just trying to say don't lull yourself into a false sense of security because you occasionally go afk rather than sitting down for 12 hours straight (I mean you saw that this guy actually collapsed while outside).
The article caught my eye because the same thing happened to my friend 2 weeks ago, thankfully he lived though!
