In Argentina people tend to gather for dinner at around 21:00 on Christmas Eve then at 00:00, they do a toast, hug each other and watch the fireworks.

Pretty cheerful if you ask me.

I guess on the 31st we'll have dinner and wait till 00:00 like usual (for even more fireworks).

Blergh.

p.s: fireworks scare me and Argentinians are soooo reckless. They light them on the street sometimes (the norm tends to be on rooftops in the city). Yesterday we were driving home and there were idiots lighting fireworks everywhere. Scared me so much. I expect New Year's to be the same.

I wonder how many people have been hospitalised due to accidents involving fireworks last night here. Wouldn't be surprised if lots!

I don't know, just do it in your garden or something. Don't do it in the street where people drive
