People told me that the christmas present loot depends on the RNG.
So when people log in in the evening, then all the items will be gone already.
Better chance of getting anything is after the reset.
I tryed that on Friday and surprise surprise, I got the beam loot with only 6 presents -.-
Also my friend got Turkey with only 1 present yesterday at 00:05.
