That last The Flash episode was quite good, but quite unrealistic in a flash way. I mean, Barry Allen can hurt himself like everyone, he only just heals faster. He punched a guy at supersonic speed and he just came out with a broken hand, whereas the first time he punched said guy at less than supersonic speed, he had a broken hand too. He can't heal instantly, he just takes a few hours depending on the injury.
He shouldn't have survived after punching a metallic meta-human at supersonic speed -_-
Meh... but then again, I'm being a dummy for trying to find realism in a TV Show

They explained why he was fine after it in the show

Although like I said, this is a TV show, the plot needed something justify Barry Allen surviving the episode
