I don't know why anyone would bother with any time consuming Completionist requirements on release.

I know this now. I guess I never thought they'd actually back down when it was obvious many people had already wasted time and (a lot) of GP ticking off the requirement. They should have told us much sooner, rather than telling us that today.

I don't really do much else when I'm not pursuing comp cape.. I just afk skills and treat RS as a background application - that's why I actually work on them instantly, as it makes me actually play the game the way I used to years ago. I neither have bothered though since they were planning on changing it anyway. That 60M+ spent could have been used to fund my membership (December gold prem), but nope it's gone on a requirement which won't exist in a few days pretty much.

It sucks they left it this long to make such a decision.
