The hammer gives an extra 5% chance of saving a bar when Smithing an item with at least three bars. After it either saves 28 bars or smiths 28 items (it's unclear which), it reverts back to the crystal tool seed. The tool seed can be recharged by Ilfeen or Eluned for a cost that starts at 1,000,000 coins but decreases the more times you've done it.

Like the other crystal tools, the hammer doubles the chance of getting Smithing golden rocks and strange rocks from Shattered Heart. Unslain Bosses - Clan
