You still need to spend the time yourself to do the activity. You want to SAVE TIME, not waste it. By wasting your time doing a d&d that offers 40k xp/h for example, you could have gained MORE XP doing barb for example which offers much higher xp/h.

Another example:

Say a method existed (no cap) that yielded 300k xp/h without bonus xp - you wouldn't waste your time doing a D&d that gives you 20k xp "free" per day for 20mins (60k xp/h)

300k xp/h > 60k xp/h

You still have to spend time doing it, and when people ask the question: "is it worth it?" they are looking for the answer: "does it save time?" and if the answer is no, then it is deemed "unworthy" and not worth your time, because you'd achieve more xp elsewhere.

*Has slumped over desk*

Nope! Choosin' to ignore it and accept it was a cruel tactic to kill what little brain cells I had left. It succeeded as I have no idea what the colour February is anymore. ;-;

Aaaaand it is safe to think of things once more. :3

Answer me this then!

When training a skill, would you like to save time or spend more time in order to reach your target goal?

If you want to save time then this D&d would not be for you, because you can get better results elsewhere.

Why spend 20mins getting 20k xp, when you could spend 20mins getting 80k xp (doing a normal method with no cap) for example?

People use xp/h or gp/h to determine if content is "worth it" :P

Xp/h for things with caps might seem a bit trivial, but the information is essential for people unsure whether it's worth doing the activity or if they're better off just training the skill normally.

For instance phoenix lair take like 2 minutes (?) and gives 3.5k fletching xp, which would be 105k/h. If we compare this to fletching arrows where 15 arrows can be made every 1.2 second (2 ticks) for a max of 45,000 arrows per hour then fletching arrows would net better rates than phoenix lair if making bronze arrows or higher (headless arrows are worse). In this case if the player wants fletching xp it's better to fletch arrows and not worth leaving to do Phoenix lair. Though xp is not the main thing people seek from the phoenix. :P

Another example: Guthixian caches reward a max of 73,400 divination xp per game (100 points; game takes 10 minutes) making it theoretically 440,400 xp/h.
Regular divination at 99 using the enhanced xp option without raf or a clan avatar is like 110k xp/h, making the 10 minutes spent doing Guthixian caches worthwhile as it provides faster xp/time than regular training.

rip so late
