If you instantly set a name change on the site after you swap rsn, you're fine.

If you delay, get 1m xp in the skill, or god forbid swap your name back, it breaks permanently.

Main differences are the range (like distance) of your shot and the abilities. Dazing shot for the Nox & Needle strike for the Asc. Asc should dish out more DPS but some places Nox can be more useful than Asc due to the range.

The only place I *sorta* know of Nox > Asc is speed kills at Rots though I've never tried it for myself so I don't know if that's really a big deal :c

Edit: I forgot about shields. With an Asc you can wield a shield with it, too. :D

Dual wield can get in an auto attack when using def abilities, like devotion and debilitate at araxxor.
Bow is better for pvp due to the 2 squares longer range and is lower risk since you keep it unless you're smited unlike dual wield where you'll lose the offhand, which is why many use lower level offhands resulting in lower damage@

For slayer the bow can be better in some places too because you can attack monsters from further away while standing in death's swiftness. This is useful for waterfiends for instance, where I usually get slightly lower rates with ascension since I have to move around more.
