*Insert everyone shaking their head with a smile, putting hands on hips going 'Oh Star!' and cue star looking at camera with a derp face, shrugging with hands out to each side as a 'wah wah' is heard in the background followed by the sitcome theme tune*

You forgot the laugh track and then I think you described Friends!

Oooh yes! Gotta have some of the canned laughter! :D

Low budget though after the 'flaming pumpkin halloween special' incident, so gotta settle for this:

At least one thought it was funny. ;-;

Speedruns are fun to watch. I often find myself too tired to play anything after a hard day so I just make some food and sit down and watch speedruns lol.

I'm like that too lol. :D

Watch random speedruns with my sammiches at lunchtime. :3

I prefer the ones where everythin is legit and not taking advantage of a glitch etc, and the 100% ones, like the Metroid games where they collect all the missile expansions n stuff.

Metroid games do collect all the missiles if 100% but that still uses glitches. The term sequence breaking comes from metroid, and it means you just play the game at any order, completely ruining the sequence of both story and power ups. I don't like using glitches when actually playing myself (a reason being I haven't practiced enough) and I absolutely hate sequence breaking but I accept that the majority of speedrun categories will use them lol. I am some sort of semi professional runner myself so I just play my own categories and play them fast. For metroid in particular, I usually play prime 1 and 2 on emulator (I don't have an NTSC console) and I just 100% item and scan it as fast as I can lol.

Yeh I'm not keen on the sequence breaking stuff either lol.

I like speedruns, the fastest you can do, without using glitches or deviating from the intended paths/stories etc. Like, the fastest time you can get playing the game normally to 100% completion.

Tho seen some speedruns peeps doing Zero Mission with wall jumping n bomb jumping...WIZARDS LATHOW. THEY ARE WIZARDS

Tho I did manage to do a lot of that myself when trying for a Zero Mission speedrun, non 100% tho. Sometimes it worked. Others...not so much!

Some of the runners you've watched have practiced tricks at least a few thousands of times, each. There's a guy called kottpower who has been practicing and running super metroid for about a decade now. To get good and consistent at runs they need to become a big part of you and your life. I sadly don't have that much time to spare so I've always just been the casual of pros. Still, playing a game with glitches can be fun sometimes (although quite slow lol probably slower than no glitches). Hi
