These upcoming armor/weapon dyes confuse me.. I don't really see the point in them, apart from the cosmetic changes. So much more could be done with them than what is being done

I don't believe you can trade the dyed weapons, but apart from the cosmetic change, what's the point in spending money to do that? Spend 100m or so to trap yourself with 1.4b worth of t90 weapons, and then they release t95 weapons in 2 months.
Also with t90 armor.. Depending on the cost of the dye, it also seems impractical outside of the cosmetic. The t90 armor is already repairable, technically, all the dye is doing is cutting out the "binding stone" and equivalents. Eventually it would pay for itself and be profitable, but it just seems like the dyes aren't really accomplishing much.
Paying 100m for a dye that has an effect like, "The dye strengthens your weapons structure, making it indestructible" would be great. You can still sell or lose the item, but if you do it clears the effect from your account and the next one you buy degrades again. I have a vendetta against degrading items, so seeing an opportunity like this getting wasted confuses me is all
