Lol, we didn't find any pickpocketable pirates either - just some lootable chests in the pirate's hideout in wildy. Lifer went there, but didn't get any doubloons from them so unsure if they even work :s

I think it just means, you can kill pirates, p ickpocket them off other creatures , or gain them at the agility place >.>

Not sure though.
