Can anyone tell me if:

1. They drop in story mode
2. Do I have to complete the entire dungeon for loot to appear in the chest.

I completed everything up to the final boss, and there wasn't any loot in the chest, but couldn't kill him anyway so I restarted to practice more on the first two bosses, however I just wanna know if there's any point in doing story mode if I'm not getting loot.

1. They do drop in story mode. It is how I got Masuta's book whilst exploring the dungeon the first time. Story mode does not give kc however and I heard the higher kc makes the drop chances better.

2. You do not have to complete the entire dungeon. They have a chance to drop as soon as the respective boss (the guardian or Masuta) is killed. "One should not mindlessly follow gods or the godless:

I only saw them in the normal mode, and I got 21 of 22 pages for elia's journal running thru.

one page was not visible on my mini map as a red dot until masuta dead, and I had to walk back upstairs to the funny four entrance squareish room and I found two pages there, but it was just the one that I could add to my journal.

my poh let me shelve elia's journal at 20 pages, and I had played on thinking it was done, but stumbled onto another page and got message I was 21 and needed one last page. idk, but I think the pages help trigger release of "himiko's vision."
I have quit rsof because moderator found comments about darklight bonus damage on demons "off topic" for wildy flash mobs full of demons
