Yes it is but remember not everyone maintains the cape so most likely a majority of the early trimmers are no longer trimmed. This hiscores just symbolizes everyone who has, at some point, owned the cape. (given there was proof)

About time this thread was remade as the old one was not updated. However, once again, is there even a point of still keeping track with 2000+ trimmers? Join the RuneScape community on Reddit in

I believe there is as it is the most prestigious cape in the game and there is no other way of knowing how many people have trimmed besides if jagex releases the data on a stream in the future.

Edit: Although if they nerf the trim reqs and 10+ people are trimming per day I may not be able to keep up with it. (right now its maybe 1-3 per day max)
