I aint made the time to check out cease yet, and it'll be the next thing I go test, but before I answer my own question... I gotta ask y'all to keep in mind how bad the skull tricking mobs have been, and how much they're gonna want for cease to work in their favour. Its already there, cause they can hop worlds skulled, and they shouldnt be allowed to constantly ambush players baited out there with fake purpose like drop log completion or whatever... and I very much vote to never update wildy again. I liked revs better, voted no, and I kinda hate talking about wildy and making it seem relevant.
So... since double surge doesnt work in wildy... should be true that cease doesnt work out there either, but...
I hope that yall still ask these kinda questions before you allow new abilities in wildy.

To be honest I liked the idea of PvP worlds and leave PvP out of worlds that people concentrate on skilling and PvM. I play a game now that is strictly PvP and there are no safe spots at all. Only way to safe is use a special shield. PvP does not belong with skilling and PvM period.

To be fair that would be the best solution, but most who are defending the wilderness mechanics as it stands are either just interested in griefing others or those clueless 'but it always hadeth been like that' - or well the usual couple of forum trolls. But yeah - using skillers as food was their only option to 'revitalize' that crap when they still bothered trying to do.
But yeah - restrict it to certain worlds or just kick it out without replacement.

oh. weird. y'all agree with a thing I hinted at but didnt quite say.
I mean... you get lotd relic, and there is a week of bonus drop rate increase, so if yer me... you decide to grind lava strykewyrms, right? I got two wyrm spike. That aint bad. Im happy. But... seduced by somethin dumb I mighta done like bringing a seren bow out there... they just ran on me for practice (iirc I loaded out from a stack of sighted elder shieldbows when the mobs were hitting me), and it didnt work cause I run with the map or right clicking things, but... I found it really disturbing that all they were up to was making "skull tricking" videos for youtube accounts with 10k subscribers and a paycheck better than anything they can do for work in their country (venezuela). Like that big mob... that is most likely forced child labour.
I think its an appropriate fix if getting skulled prevents world hopping, not necessarily logging out, but...
oh yeah and I totally forgot to go to wildy and try using cease. I still hope it doesn't work in wildy.

okay so me and pal tested out cease and its surprisingly good in wildy despite my concerns.
we did as boxing match near abyss. I skulled by punching him, then hit cease, he let his auto keep coming. no skull for him. waited a good minute and had him punch me, and it still didnt skull him. thats better than I woulda guessed, so... good job jagex.

If you are any good at pvp, you don't need to bother people who cannot defend themselves. You fight challenges. Attacking somebody doing law runes in the Abyss is just totally lame.

I know that - but it feels to me, that most interested in pvp basically just are interesting in skulking and griefing defenseless prey - sometimes even causing that content to be updated in their favour despite not being able to win anything out of it - solely for the sake to spite others.
I am certainly in full favour to allow anybody actually interested in doing pvp to provide them the means to do so - also for dangerous pvp (albeit it's obvious, that players are barely interested in that - see alone how the crucible was updated into deathmatch. It just has to be ensured, that nobody not interested in that has to be forced into that.

Think a lot of true pvp players just plain quit. I no longer do any any on Runescape. I do however do it another game that has no safing at all. It is all high risk. Which to me is the only pvp. I used to love it when Clans went at it. That is the old days.
