I'm going to program my keyboard to automatically release a key after a modifier has been released.

Will this get me banned lol?

You arent doing the input to do it, a programme is. So that would fall under macro ban. If im understanding it correctly

Yeah I would definitely advise against doing this, and it seems pretty likely you would get flagged for macroing. I definitely wouldn't risk it. Community Manager for Jagex

They tried being clear on what constitutes a macro ban via scripted key presses, now it's anyone's guess.
