Well, this is my first forum post. Though I'm f2p at the moment, I'm quite fond of the dragon scimitar. My preferences and reasons, in order, are:

1)B. I voted for this one. It looks the most scimitar-like and elegant. I rather like the hilt. However, I find that the top portion of the blade curves too far towards the wielder.

2)D. This one is also scimitar-like and flows; However, it does not exude the power entitled to being a dragon weapon.

3)The Original One. It shows power and a general scimitar design, but lacks flair. Also, there is a lack of significant curve on the inner edge of the blade due to the spines.

4)C. Over all, I find this to be an interesting concept, but it seems too clean cut and blocky. The previously mentioned wrench comparison is quite obvious. Upper spine may require thinning.

5)A. This design is one I frequently see elsewhere (I believe I am not permitted to post where on the forums)and it is somewhat basic. The pits simultaneously provide a sense of primal brutality and weakness (It got "damaged" after all). Least streamlined, which is an important part of scimitars. This concept could be brought about later, but I do not find it to suit a scimitar.

Wow, that was a lot for a first post. I just want to say that this is purely my opinion (well, others may share these, but I didn't copy it from anywhere, nor is it fact.) so feel free to think otherwise. I hope I'm not breaking any rules with this. And before you think me crude for my user name, Crusher has a symbolic meaning to me and 3688 is a number full of good memories of mine.

I know it's the original of this version but it's not the original original.

Hey everyone !

Personally, I've never owned a dragon scimmy and I'll never own one simply because I don't need one so I don't really care about how it's gonna look like. However, I support this future update because the actual d scimmy looks too much like a small d long.

I want to participate to the poll because I participate in all polls but I don't know which one to choose, all new looks seem good to me. Thus, I'd vote for what most people vote for. As I can't see the result before voting, can someone tell me which design has the greatest number of votes ? Thx :)

I think that there should be different style variations to chose from, not all scimitars are fat-headed with a ridge at the end, or have ridiculous spines or spikes.

When I think scimitar, I think of a slender, only slightly curving blade, that stays a consistent width, until it needs to taper to form a stabbing tip. Something that looks elegant and light, belonging in Forgotten Realms, and not Aladdin.

The term scimitar pretty much refers to anything with a curved blade, but you guys are only using one style, which to me, is clunky and overly-large looking; not what I see when I think of a very fast slashing weapon. I appreciate you giving us the option to choose are favourite, but if you guys change the look (again), I'd love if you could add some different variations, preferably more slender models.

Anyways, thanks for changing it, period, I've always thought it's looked goofy since all the scimitar models were changed.

P.S. speaking of forgotten realms, I would love to be able to duel wield some scimitars ;]... although when I get my rapier/defender combo going I'll be pretty happy, stylistly speaking = P "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than it is to be a gardener in a war"

I love the dragon scimitar and I cried when it was remodeled for the new Runescape, I loved the dragon scimitar back in 2005...in the old days, but I am extremely happy with these new choices and i actually can't wait to see what gets done.

As for my choice...I chose B, but like many other people, I would love it to have C's hilt since it's the most reminiscent to the old dragon scimitar, maybe even change the color back to a dark grey. I also thought the design on top of B's hilt was nice, If you guys could put that on C's hilt with B's blade it would be the most amazing sword in the game :D

Another thing that should be done (like many people have stated) is to have the scimitar be held down like the original before Runescape HD.
