Well, since I did say that I'll post my motivation on this thread, here I go. My main motivation for playing runescape and still continuing to play it is simply the fun I receive from doing so. I mean it is a game and therefore the main and only purpose of a game is to provide fun, so what other reasons could I have?

i guess what makes me come back are my friends, and the fact that there are no real life rules in runescape. I can get lost in the game and i dont have to think about any problems i have. friends make it more enjoyable to play also and i just love the experiance of the game

I agree with that 100%. I don't really like the graphics updates as a whole and just bits and pieces are helpful. I can think of more negative updates than positive unfortunately. I'll list a few.
1) I liked it when the mining rocks where one solid color, and when they were empty, they changed. It was easier to see if it was full or empty.
2) The graphic changed really hurt my computer as it's so old. We've probably going to get a new one soon, but ever since you had that first huge one, my play time dropped.
3) I really missed set prices. Full set of Rune armor was 200,000k. I LOVE how you can buy and sell, but I wish prices were set. Then I can make money making Studded Bodies again.
4) Due to my Elder Scroll playing, I think having Quest Lines inside the Guild halls would really be a great addition to add and would really stur up hours of playing time. Your Rank is visiable to people in the guild hall, and the way other NPC guild members changes when you advance. Really, it would just a lot of new things to do and would be fun!
The rest is little things that affected habits and things I do and not really important.
Why do I keep playing Runescape? Since I didn't answer your question.
I like how I can just sort of escape into something so huge that took so much thought into it like Runescape, which is probably why I love Elder Scrolls so much. The ability to go out and do whatever you want is really awesome.
I have spent lots of time on my file, but I still like to have fun. Unfortunately, I really can't just do everything with out cash to buy weapons and such. So for now, it's mostly just trying to get to that point.
