Well, I said I would come make a post so here it is =D

Also, to make it relevant...I enjoy reading and voting the polls, and try to do so religiously...Though I tend to find that a lot of them tend to have no answers that apply to me exactly, and in some cases not at all. Though, I suppose that's a given.

Yay me for pointless posts and rambles :D

I like the polls because it shows an interest in our opinion as a whole, even if it's not clear what, if any effect the poll results have on game content if what the players want isn't in line with what Jagex wants.

My only suggestion to improve the polls would be to allow us the ability to always be able to select more than one answer to a question because sometimes the real answer is a combination of the choices given.

you should make a guarenteed content poll where you give us a selection of developing updates, i.e. new area, new quest, new monster, new items. The topic which gets the most votes, you'll give us a small article about what to expect in the future. :)

I remember the old time when pools were members only, anyway I think Jagex has already questioned players on how long they play several times, is it to know if "older" players still play?

Anyway I'm curious why you can see emotes and informal language in recent polls, it's becoming quite common. I don't mind it, but I'm just wondering, "dunno" and emotes used to appear only in player submited polls

Also nice try to make player post feedback on polls, seriously I knew that after you vote you get qfc where you could discuss about recent poll, just never thought about doing it till you asked it 1st time. This kind of thread was one of these in which I never post

"Poll - What's My Motivation?" ^_^

Lets see well this was my first mmorpg so that would be about 10% of it.
Time invested into the game world be a good 50%.
Activities would be 25% of the motivation.
And finally other players would be 15% although that can go up to 40% if things like clan banks and in game mail boxes were added.

And thats just my thoughts about my runescape motivation.
Although recently I have been busy and have not had the time to play as much as I wont to, but thats just something that happens to all of us from time to time. :)

Regarding to the latest Poll "What's My Motivation? (09-Aug-2010)"

I guess I have a lot to discuss in regards to this question and RuneScape which is certainly more detailed than the Poll which I found weird yet perfectly timed right to be answered by me (personal opinion).

I began playing RuneScape a long time ago when a few people I noticed playing it in a public library... being it a public library many websites were blocked so I asked them for the address and began from there.

It was on 2004 however I missed (not even knowing what they were at the time) the Rubber Chicken and Yo-Yo events as any form of proof but it was around then.

Soon after the library got fed up with me and my other mate constantly playing this game we still had no clue about running out in the wilderness and getting killed by players effortlessly waiting for noobs and passers by to 'pwn.' The website was blocked..

I didn't have the internet at this stage so RuneScape was left unplayed for a long time by me and my friend we both soon got the internet though and was back on RuneScape in time for our first event Halloween 2005 Event 'the zombie head.'

My friend soon grew bored of the game and moved onto consoles again.

I was a complete, in sense nerd and 'no-lifeing' this game I couldn't get enough of, I played it for about 2 Years until my first break came soon before/after construction was released I hadn't played RuneScape in over 6 months then something made me comeback I guess the items, Music and Scenery in General were the biggest impact.

Since then I have been on and off of RuneScape over the years but always log to see what's new and what has changed etc.

Probably one of the funniest memories I have was sitting in work (administrator of a learning support community) and seeing HD be released, I faked sick to go home and took 3 days off just to play RuneScape (I still got full pay for that week lol)

Thanks for a great game and making me write this Jagex I feel refreshed! :)
